Rivière Paisley

While walking in the Tehran Grand Bazaar in Iran, Clara came across this scarf with a Paisley motif design. Clara traced the manufacture of this scarf back to a factory in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, China owned by a father and son family business.

Inspired by the historic paisley motif that traveled from East to Europe, this design refines tradition with restraint. The symmetrical border and balanced scale create a composed, architectural feel — heritage interpreted for modern wear.

It is not a statement piece, but a finishing detail. Subtle. Polished. Intentional.

The soft cream base is framed by a charcoal paisley border, delicately scaled to add interest without distraction. Its elongated ribbon silhouette (13cm x 145cm) gives structure and versatility — whether tied at the neck, wrapped around a handbag, or styled as a headband.

Classic in origin, quiet in expression, and designed to complement rather than compete.

Clara was drawn to this piece for its balance — soft in feel, composed in design, and effortless in wear. Though crafted from fine polyester, it drapes with the fluidity of silk, offering comfort and practicality without unnecessary delicacy. It is a scarf meant to be lived in, not preserved.
